My beliefs, values and principles
Life is too short to live at half mast. If you aren’t thoroughly enjoying your life, then it is time to make some changes. Together, we can make this life the one you want it to be.
I’ve found that most people are extremely skilled at talking themselves out of what they want. There are plenty of reasons why you can’t have the life you want. I just don’t hold much stock in any of them. I challenge my clients to find new perspectives and make powerful choices that will quickly move them beyond excuses and into the life they dream of having.
Together, we strategize, clarify and come to a deeper understanding of your intentions and figure out a comfortable yet growing plan for getting you to be where you want to be. As well as guide you toward you internal wisdom – inner truth and deeper knowledge of what you know to be true.
This is all completed primarily via in-person, telephone and e-mail.
Your privacy is a cornerstone of my services. Client information is strictly confidential, and should privacy be a particular concern for you, I offer discreet billing and record keeping options to further assure your anonymity.
The Process
Coaching typically begins with a personal interview (either face-to-face or by teleconference call) to assess your current opportunities and challenges, define the scope of our relationship, identify priorities for action, and establish specific desired outcomes.
Subsequent coaching sessions may be conducted in person or over the telephone, with each session lasting a previously established length of time.
Between scheduled coaching sessions, you may be asked to complete specific actions that support the achievement of one’s personally prioritized goals. The coach may provide additional resources in the form of relevant articles, checklists, assessments, or models, to support your thinking and actions. The duration of the coaching relationship varies depending on the individual’s personal needs and preferences.
If you are a goal-oriented type, I will support and challenge you to make the most of where you are currently, as well as strategize and help implement a plan for where you want to be.
If you are non goal-oriented, I will walk you through and help you maintain spiritual practices that help reinforce your present-moment awareness toward an inspired life.
Blind Spots
Imagine for a moment you are parallel parking a car. From the driver’s seat, you have plenty of skills and resources at your fingertips. You have several mirrors, and you control the steering, the gas and the brakes. But you also have a bunch of blind spots, and possibly an unrealistic perception of the size, shape and limitations of your vehicle.
However, from outside that vehicle – the place where I stand as your coach, mentor and consultant – I can see the full range of possibilities, and objectively help you to see all the blind spots where you may be selling yourself short or unable to see all the possibilities.
