Post Icon Lost and Found Motivation

June 27th, 2010

As children, your motivation is dangled in front of you by your parents. Either you got something of desire if you complied, or perhaps you faced punishment if you did not do as you were asked.

Of course, your motivation for getting up and going to work every day is at least the paycheck at the end of the week, but hopefully you also go for the satisfaction you get from your job. Maybe not.

Post Icon Tips for Living In the Moment

June 27th, 2010

If your sense of peace and contentment comes from what you own, or what goals and achievements you have created throughout your life, then it is time to stop and take a look around you. We are human beings, not human “doings” or human “havings”.

Yet, despite existing as human beings, we often let the art of “being” escape us. Think about the last time you had “nothing to do”. How did you feel? Bored, restless, fidgety, anxious, worried, or depressed?

Do you feel like your life is stuck?

Post Icon What About You?

April 8th, 2010

Time is the real wealth. Lately, I’ve been taking more time to do things that bring me joy. Playing the guitar, spending time in nature and longer periods of meditation.

Taking time for yourself seems idyllic and unrealistic to many of us.
